The House Alarm System!
  The house alarm system is different from the home security system.
The home security system is the entire monitored system.  The house
alarm system is simply the loud noise that will buzz when an intruder
attempts to break into your home.

House Alarm System
If you have a house alarm installed in your home, or if you are think about buying one, you will want
to know a little bit about how they work. Firstly you will know a house alarm from the sound. Some
systems do not have a loud sounding alarm, they are silent alarms.
Here are Some of the main home alarm system parts that you will need to know
    * Control Keypad
    * Phone Jack
    * Transformer
    * Alarm itself (the thing that makes the loud noise)
    * The door and window sensors
When you have you house alarm system
installed, there will be a main unit.  This
main unit will be generally sitting
somewhere in your basement or in a
closet neatly in the corner.  This unit will
be in the form of a small metal box.
Inside of the box will be a large sized
battery, they are usually very low voltage.
You will notice some wires coming from
the metal box.  Some of the boxes will
also use a transformer which will allow
less power use.
The control key pad is the main control of
the system.  This is what you will need to
enter your secret code into when you
walk inside of the home.  Some higher
priced systems even have fingerprint
recognition or voice recognition home
alarm systems.  You will want to certainly familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of the alarms key
pad controls.
Magnetic sensors will be placed around the opening and frames of all of your windows and doors, at
least they should be. I’ve seen some homes with systems that had no sensors on the upstairs
windows.  A thief would only need to climb up to enter securely.  These sensors will look different in
most cases, but the common look will be a small rectangular object, usually made of plastic.  Motion
sensors are also commonly placed in the corners of rooms at the ceiling.
When the home alarm system notices a breach, it will alarm you with a loud high pitch sound.
These systems will not do much more than make a sound, which will scare you and hopefully the
burglar as well.
But these simple home alarms systems can be do it yourself alarms systems, but they will not notify
the police of a burglar.  So what do you do if you don’t want to fight the burglar yourself?
